For years I resisted buying a bread machine. After all, my trusty Kitchen Aid mixer did a fine job of kneading. I finally decided to give it a try. Not only does it match the mixer in results, it does so with almost no cleanup required! Just a measuring cup, measuring spoon & the breIt couldn't be easier. My new toy encouraged me to try some new bread recipes.
I checked dozens of reviews & settled on The Bread Machine Cookbook by Donna Rathmell German. It turned out to be a very good choice. In addition to the great recipes, she gives the novice bread machine owner loads of tips and advice.
Every recipe I've tried from this book has been a winner. My favorites have been the pineapple coconut bread (great for French toast), the hamburger rolls, and the French bread.
Got to go. The bread's ready!
